The Heritage Circle Society
The Heritage Circle Society was established to honor individuals who have named the University at Albany in their wills or estate plans. We welcome as members those who have made a commitment to our University through a bequest, charitable trust, charitable gift annuity, life insurance, retirement plan, or other form of charitable giving through estate planning.
The Heritage Circle Society was named to honor those individuals who exemplify the true definition of heritage—traditions, achievements, and beliefs that are part of the history of a group or nation; circle—a path that goes around a central point; society—people thought of as living together with shared traditions and values. Together, these words help us symbolize those whose generosity ensures the future of this institution.
In recognition of your support as a Heritage Circle Society member, you will enjoy:
- Special access to many exclusive events
- Exclusive communications from the University
- Commemorative Lapel Pin
For those who are considering making gifts in their wills, trusts, or other estate-planning gifts, our legal entity to accept such gifts is: The University at Albany Foundation. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established for the purpose of encouraging philanthropic contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations in support of activities and programs of the University at Albany. Responsibility for governance of the Foundation is vested in a board of directors, comprised of alumni, community, and University representatives.
